FAQ
What's the difference between Antiwrinkle and filler?
Basically, Antiwrinkle works by stopping the muscles from moving so the wrinkles that form in our skin temporarily go away (excellent for horizontal forehead lines, vertical frown lines and crows feet around the eyes). Dermal filler is usually a gel like substance that creates volume, definition or structure. You will be guided in choosing the best option for you during your consultation.
Can I get antiwrinkle and filler at the same time?
Usually yes that’s not a problem.
How long will filler last?
It is very dependent on a number of factors. The range is usually 6-18months depending on the product used. Metabolism, type of filler and activity level all play a role in the longevity of your filler too.
Will my treatment hurt?
There can be slight discomfort but nothing people dont usually handle with ease. Any treatment that has a higher level of discomfort will have numbing cream applied prior to the treatment.
I don’t want fake looking lips, how do I avoid this?
Listen to your injector! They know what will suit you and keep your results looking natural. Filler comes in various consistencies, choosing a softer filler in a half ml size will give you very natural looking results.
Can I get more than 1ml of dermal filer in my lips?
Yes, as long as there is a minimum of 4weeks between each ml. If it is not deemed appropriate for you to receive another ml then that is at the injector's discretion.
Do I need my old lip filler dissolved before I get more lip filler?
That depends on a few things such as migration, consistency of the old filler, shape of the old filler. Some people will be advised to dissolve their old filler first.
I was told my antiwrinkle results would last 3-4months but I have movement in my forehead 7weeks after my antiwrinkle appointment. Is that normal?
Yes, gentle movement can begin to return after 6-8weeks. This usually doesn’t cause deep wrinkles however and your full range of movement will take another few weeks to return.
How much is one area of antiwrinkle?
Each area takes different doses so it isn’t possible to quote one area as one single price. The price will depend on the individual amount of units you will require for your muscle strength and desired result.
How long will Antiwrinkle last?
Usually 3-4months. Some areas can maintain results for up to 6months. Consistency of treatments is key to good longevity. Your first antiwrinkle treatment may only last 3months.
When will I see results?
Antiwrinkle can take up to 2 weeks to be fully effective but usually starts to show between 2-5days.
Dermal filler will give immediate results but they will also improve and become more natural looking and feeling over 4 weeks.
Will I Bruise?
Possibly. Some people tend to bruise more than others. Any procedure where a needle breaks into the skin will run the risk of a bruise. Avoiding alcohol, fish oil supplements and blood thinning medications in the days before your appointment will help reduce the likelihood of bruising.
